Let's build a youth football pitch together in Pune

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $200. It will serve about 547 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $200 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $100 • Permits and inspections: $55 • Safety equipment and signage: $45 I hope life is good to you.
