Let's build a youth football pitch together in Kinondoni

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 173 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $250 goes: • Materials: $150 • Permits and inspections: $15 • Safety equipment and signage: $20 • Tools hire and delivery: $65 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Omondi
