Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in Aurangabad
A community-led a solar-powered water pump at the Baobab vacant lot that will serve 311 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 311 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $600 goes:
• Materials: $480
• Permits and inspections: $20
• Safety equipment and signage: $65
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

good luck. Great idea, hope you get there. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Hubballi but we're thinking of you!
