Let's build a skate park together in Casablanca
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $650 for materials.
🇲🇦 Casablanca, Casablanca-Settat, Morocco1,991 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 120 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $650 goes:
• Materials: $480
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Safety equipment and signage: $90
• Tools hire and delivery: $30

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 13 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything
Thinking of you and your family, Amélie. Great idea, hope you get there. Don't give up

Sending good thoughts. This could happen to any of us. After 9 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Tampa.
