Let's build a sensory garden for children with autism together in Peoria
A community-led a sensory garden for children with autism at the Unity community hall that will serve 120 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,550.
It will serve about 120 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• Materials: $1,000
• Safety equipment and signage: $240
• Tools hire and delivery: $310
Thanks for being kind about this.
