Let's build a sensory garden for children with autism together in Lalitpur
A community-led a sensory garden for children with autism at the Jacaranda health centre yard that will serve 201 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 201 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $350
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $15
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

This could happen to any of us. After 23 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything
stay strong, Deepak. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Jakarta
Stay strong, Deepak. Gave what I could, wish it was more.

Thanks for sharing this. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out.
