Let's build a sensory garden for children with autism together in Pietermaritzburg
A community-led a sensory garden for children with autism at the Union vacant lot that will serve 378 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $700.
It will serve about 378 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $700 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $75
• Tools hire and delivery: $85
• Materials: $540
Every share and every dollar helps.

Sending love, Lucky. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Keep going, Lucky. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. God bless
