For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $400. It will serve about 469 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $400 goes: • Materials: $280 • Permits and inspections: $25 • Safety equipment and signage: $60 • Tools hire and delivery: $35 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Dhruv
