Rome
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Park, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,200. It will serve about 311 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $3,200 goes: • Materials: $2,750 • Permits and inspections: $150 • Safety equipment and signage: $155 • Tools hire and delivery: $145 Glad we found this place.

hope things get better soon. More neighborhoods should do this. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it

      • Thinking of you and your family. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My husband and I read this together. Blessings.
