Let's build a sensory garden for children with autism together in Tarkwa
Volunteers in Tarkwa are raising $400 for a sensory garden for children with autism at the old Baobab bus depot.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 390 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $400 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Materials: $290
• Permits and inspections: $60
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Comfort?
Thank you. If you're in Tarkwa I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Good question.
Thinking of you, Comfort. Hope this works out for you. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Blessings
Sending good thoughts. Looking forward to the next update. I hope November is when things finally get easier

You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Tarkwa.
Thanks for sharing this, Comfort. This could happen to any of us. Take care.
