Orlando
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,250. It will serve about 280 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $3,250 goes: • Materials: $2,250 • Permits and inspections: $420 • Safety equipment and signage: $390 • Tools hire and delivery: $190 If you're reading this, thank you.

Sending strength, Sofía. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings

More neighborhoods should do this. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.

Sending love. Shared it with a few friends. Put this on a community board in Córdoba this morning. Greetings from Córdoba.
