Let's build a rainwater harvesting system together in Chattogram
A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at the Acacia vacant lot that will serve 294 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 294 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $250 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Materials: $155
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
Thanks for being kind about this.
