Let's build a playground together in Saint Petersburg
A community-led a playground at the Jacaranda community hall that will serve 236 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,200.
It will serve about 236 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Materials: $920
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $170
• Tools hire and delivery: $55
