Let's build a free library and reading room together in Petrópolis
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a free library and reading room - we need $350 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 446 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $350 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $120
• Permits and inspections: $85
• Tools hire and delivery: $145

Thanks for sharing this, Maurício. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
Sending strength, Maurício. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Pretoria so I could bring a meal. God bless
Thinking of you. Hope this works out for you. Love from Fayetteville.
