Let's build a free library and reading room together in London
Volunteers in London are raising $1,550 for a free library and reading room at the Acacia health centre yard.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,550.
It will serve about 450 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Safety equipment and signage: $320
• Materials: $980
• Tools hire and delivery: $250
