Let's build a covered market stall space together in Berlin
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a covered market stall space - we need $2,400 for materials.
🇩🇪 Germany1,303 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,400.
It will serve about 242 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• Materials: $1,550
• Permits and inspections: $160
• Safety equipment and signage: $260
• Tools hire and delivery: $430
I hope life is good to you.

Praying for you, Werner. Hope you get there. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings.
So sorry you're going through this, Werner. It takes guts to ask. Well done
