Let's build a covered market stall space together in Aberdeen
A community-led a covered market stall space at the old Maple bus depot that will serve 182 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Maple bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $950.
It will serve about 182 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $950 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $350
• Permits and inspections: $270
• Safety equipment and signage: $330
With deep gratitude,
Christian

I was going through a tough time and this person's support was invaluable. They didn't judge, just helped. That kind of genuine compassion is rare these days.
- Practical and effective help
This helper is honest and transparent about what they can do. They didn't overpromise, but they did deliver excellent results. I would definitely trust them again.

Sending strength. Great idea, hope you get there. Don't give up. Take care.
Wishing you peace. More neighborhoods should do this. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.
