Let's build a community garden together in Uberlândia
Volunteers in Uberlândia are raising $550 for a community garden at the Harmony vacant lot.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $175, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 369 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $550 goes:
• Materials: $310
• Permits and inspections: $115
• Safety equipment and signage: $70
• Tools hire and delivery: $55
Thank you so much.

Hope this works out for you. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care
