Let's build a community garden together in Dar es Salaam

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Park, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $500. It will serve about 491 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
