Let's build a community fridge together in Wellington
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $3,350 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $460, and the remaining cost is $3,350.
It will serve about 109 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,350 goes:
• Materials: $2,650
• Permits and inspections: $155
• Safety equipment and signage: $410
• Tools hire and delivery: $135
