Let's build a community fridge together in San Fernando
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $450 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 380 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $250
• Permits and inspections: $60
• Safety equipment and signage: $75
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
