Let's build a community fridge together in Regensburg
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $1,900 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,900.
It will serve about 504 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Permits and inspections: $200
• Materials: $1,500
• Safety equipment and signage: $200
