I'm Leah, 18, in Grade 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study computer science.
I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at a food pantry and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- 1 hour a week
- format
- Online or by phone
- skills
- university experience, essay feedback

Praying for you. This could happen to any of us. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Los Angeles.
Good luck. Hope you get there. My neighbor in Bangkok donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of San Francisco.
as a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of San Francisco.
