Laxmi was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in April. The oncology team at Dharan University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Laxmi is 35, worked as a tailor until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Dharan University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
