Lauren's stage 2 breast cancer treatment fund
Supporting Lauren through stage 2 breast cancer: medication, transport to Columbus Regional Medical Center, and living costs while She can't work.
🇺🇸 United States842 views
Lauren was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in August. The oncology team at Columbus Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Lauren is 34, worked as a primary school teacher until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Columbus Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $11,000 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,000
• Scans and lab work: $720
• Transport to Columbus Regional Medical Center: $1,050
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $800
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,430
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
- Annabelle
