Lincoln was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in March. The surgeon at Manukau Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and He is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,550, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $3,400 short.
my brother has been in and out of Manukau Orthopedic Institute since March. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,550 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Lincoln struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Lincoln won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
