Lanre needs someone who understands: peer support in recovery
Peer mentor wanted by a person four months into recovery from stimulant addiction.

I'm four months into recovery from stimulant addiction. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week.
I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like.
I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later.

Rooting for you, Lanre. Hope this works out for you. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Niterói.
Wishing you peace, Lanre. Hope you get there. All the best.
I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Onitsha.
Hope things get better soon. Shared this with my family. Thinking of Onitsha.
Stay strong, Lanre. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
sending love, Lanre. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I have a 5 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Paris.
