Lagos house fire that spread across the block relief - Sunrise village
Neighbors in Sunrise village are rebuilding after the house fire that spread across the block; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The house fire that spread across the block hit Sunrise village on 16 July. My home was one of 76 damaged, and 5 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $650
• Clean water and purification supplies: $135
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $230
• Food parcels for displaced families: $130
• Tools and labor for repairs: $205
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Sending strength, Lanre. I hope things turn around soon. Please keep us posted!
Thanks for sharing this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 10 year old who wants to send good wishes too. All the best!
Wishing you the best, Lanre. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry!
