Keep the water on at Lan's home in Hanoi
A disconnection notice for water arrived and Lan needs $150 before April.

The water account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on April unless I pay $150. I have never been late before a reduction in hours.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which I don't have.
I live with two young children, and going through summer without water isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $150 goes:
• Water arrears: $90
• Reconnection and late fees: $20
• Down payment on a payment plan: $40
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Updates from Lan
Thank you all. We're at 47% now ($70). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the utility company and confirmed the amounts. - Lan
Update from Hanoi: we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. We're at 13% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Small update. $10 so far, I met with the utility company and confirmed the amounts.
