Keep the water on at Howard's home in Birmingham
A disconnection notice for water arrived and Howard needs $450 before November.

The water account is 4 months behind. Howard received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $450 is paid. He had never been late before losing my job in August.
Howard called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $110 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through the cold months without water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Howard is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
