Keep the gas on at Hamisi's home in Kampala

Hamisi is behind on gas bills after August's medical emergency and needs $100 to avoid a shut-off.

The gas account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $100. I have never been late before August's medical emergency. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which I don't have. I live with a newborn, and going through the cold months without gas isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. Every dollar goes to the account in Hamisi's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates. Where the $100 goes: • Utility arrears: $45 • Reconnection and late fees: $15 • Down payment on a payment plan: $40 Thanks for being kind about this.
