Keep the electricity on at Melek's home in Konya
Melek is behind on electricity bills after losing my job in January and needs $200 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on May unless I pay $200. I have never been late before losing my job in January.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $40 first, which I don't have.
I live with an elderly mother, and going through summer without electricity isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.

Quick update: $103 raised so far (52%). I met with the utility company and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
