Keep a roof over Rhea's head in Gatineau
After a cut in working hours, Rhea is 3 months behind on rent and has a notice to vacate from the landlord.

After a sudden layoff at the packaging plant, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,750.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by December, we must leave.
I've 2 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $1,850
• Late fees and court costs: $270
• Utilities in arrears: $230
• First month of rent as a buffer: $400
Every share and every dollar helps.

Thinking of you and your family, Rhea. Hope this works out for you. Thinking of Gatineau
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Miami.
hang in there, Rhea. This could happen to any of us. Love from Rohini.
Take care. Hope this works out for you. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
