Keep a roof over Orly's head in Tel Aviv
A court summons for non-payment arrived last week. Orly needs $3,450 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Tel Aviv.

When the restaurant closed in August, Orly fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Monday a court summons for non-payment was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $3,450.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, the family must leave.
There are a teenager still in school at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Orly has started working two part-time jobs, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $3,450 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $2,350
• Late fees and court costs: $300
• Utilities in arrears: $200
• First month of rent as a buffer: $600
Thanks for being kind about this.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. We're a small family in Kathmandu but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Kathmandu.
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Orly?
Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 23 people at work. God bless.
How is Orly doing now?
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.
Sending good thoughts, Efrat. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better.
Stay strong, Efrat. Hope you get there. It's not much but it's yours. Take care
