Keep a roof over Julian's head in San Diego
A final eviction notice arrived last week. Julian needs $4,000 to clear the arrears and stay housed in San Diego.

When the hotel closed in April, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Friday a final eviction notice was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $4,000.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by June, we must leave.
I have a toddler and a baby at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $4,000 goes:
• Rent arrears (5 months): $2,800
• Late fees and court costs: $220
• Utilities in arrears: $100
• First month of rent as a buffer: $880
Glad we found this place.

Hang in there. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Palermo this morning.
Thinking of you and your family. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I hope June is when things finally get easier
Sending strength. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of San Diego.
hang in there, Julian. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Take care
