Keep a roof over Jennifer's head in San Diego
After the closure of the factory, Jennifer is 4 months behind on rent and has a court summons for non-payment from the landlord.

Following a long illness in the family, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Tuesday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,950.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by December, we must leave.
I have three school-aged children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $1,750
• Late fees and court costs: $200
• Utilities in arrears: $130
• First month of rent as a buffer: $870

thinking of you and your family. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
Hang in there, Jennifer. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope December is when things finally get easier.
How is Jennifer doing now?
looking forward to the next update. My neighbor in Lahore donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Lahore
This could happen to any of us. After 17 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything
Best of luck. Shared this with my family. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
