Keep a roof over Faith's head in Columbus
A notice to vacate arrived last week. Faith needs $3,300 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Columbus.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 6 weeks, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $3,300.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by August, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Utilities in arrears: $320
• Rent arrears (3 months): $2,100
• First month of rent as a buffer: $880
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Columbus.
thanks for sharing this, Faith. Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Hope it all works out. Hope you get there. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Birmingham.
Shared this with my family. After 26 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything
So sorry you're going through this. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Columbus.
