Keep a roof over Erlangga's head in Jakarta Selatan
A notice to vacate arrived last week. Erlangga needs $450 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Jakarta Selatan.

Following a long illness in the family, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Monday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $450.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $450 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $410
• Late fees and court costs: $20
• Utilities in arrears: $20

Updates from Erlangga
Quick update: $241 raised so far (54%). I made the first payment toward rent arrears. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($177 in total) we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Hang in there. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My neighbor in Móstoles donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Jakarta Selatan.
rooting for you. I hope things turn around soon. Sent it to 30 people at work.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Wudil.
You're not alone, Erlangga. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. I'll check back for the next update.
gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Sandton.
