Keep a roof over Cường's head in Cầu Giấy
A 10-day notice to quit arrived last week. Cường needs $450 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Cầu Giấy.

When the bakery closed in August, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Monday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $450.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I've 4 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $450 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $200
• Late fees and court costs: $45
• Utilities in arrears: $40
• First month of rent as a buffer: $165
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
- due date
- 2026-11-16
- bill type
- Rent arrears
