Keep a roof over Carol's head in Liverpool
After a delayed insurance payout, Carol is 5 months behind on rent and has a final eviction notice from the landlord.

After a sudden layoff at the hotel, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a final eviction notice was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $3,550.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I've 2 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $3,550 goes:
• Late fees and court costs: $340
• Rent arrears (5 months): $2,650
• First month of rent as a buffer: $560

Hope things get better soon, Carol. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
Rooting for you, Carol. I hope things turn around soon. After 24 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Edinburgh.
Praying for you, Carol. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. All the best!
Stay strong, Carol. Gave what I could, wish it was more. It's not much but it's yours. Take care.
