Keep a roof over Alice's head in San Diego
A sudden layoff left Alice short on rent for 2 months; help us stay in our home.

When the packaging plant closed in June, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,350.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, we must leave.
I have three school-aged children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Late fees and court costs: $240
• First month of rent as a buffer: $850
• Utilities in arrears: $260

Take care. Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Multan this morning. Love from Multan.
Praying for you, Alice. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I hope October is when things finally get easier. Greetings from Haifa.
you're not alone. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Wish I lived closer to Warsaw so I could bring a meal.
Wishing you peace. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Hamilton.
hang in there. This could happen to any of us. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Zapopan.
