Kamini was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in August. The surgeon at Pretoria Community Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,800, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $1,950 short.
my mother has been in and out of Pretoria Community Hospital since August. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,800 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kamini struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Kamini won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
