Julián needs someone who understands: peer support in recovery
Julián is six months into recovery and would welcome a mentor with lived experience.

I'm six months into recovery from opioid addiction. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week.
I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like.
I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later.
Thanks for being kind about this.

it takes guts to ask. Well done. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of San Nicolás de los Garza
Take care. Hope you get there. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Sending love, Julián. Wishing Julián a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Wishing you the best, Julián. Hope the doctors have good news
