Josefa needs my motorbike repaired to get back to work in San Diego
Josefa drives for a living in San Diego, and a broken suspension has stopped all income for 6 weeks.

I make my living with my motorbike. 6 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 1 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• suspension replacement (parts): $810
• Labor charges: $180
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $210
• Towing and inspection: $100
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Updates from Josefa
Small update. $484 so far, I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts.
Quick update: $193 raised so far (15%). I made the first payment toward labor charges. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($55 in total) the first invoice got paid this week. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Josefa
