Join the School Supplies Giveaway: Mia needs helpers on Monday
We're short of hands for the School Supplies Giveaway; can you spare a morning?
🇺🇸 San Francisco, California, United States499 views
Every year the School Supplies Giveaway brings together 530 neighbors in San Francisco. I help organize it with 8 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for set-up, serving, translation and clean-up. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- 3-hour shift
- format
- In person in San Francisco
- skills
- friendly attitude, willingness to help

Hope it all works out, Mia. Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Soweto so I could bring a meal.
wishing you the best, Mia. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Please keep us posted. Thinking of San Francisco
looking forward to the next update. Love from Los Angeles.
sending strength. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My husband and I read this together. God bless
Take care. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of San Francisco.
