We're short of hands for the School Supplies Giveaway; can you spare a morning?

Every year the School Supplies Giveaway brings together 317 neighbors in Greensboro. I help organize it with 5 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are four hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. Thank you so much.

    • Good luck, Julia. I hope things turn around soon. Greetings from Madrid.

      • Wishing you the best, Julia. Great idea, hope you get there. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Limerick.

        • Thinking of you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Blessings.

          • Hope it all works out, Julia. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless
