We're short of hands for the Refugee Welcome Picnic; can you spare a morning?

Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 382 neighbors in New Delhi. I help organize it with 8 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for serving food, washing up and welcoming guests. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • wishing you peace. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My husband and I read this together. All the best.

    • hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
