Join the Refugee Welcome Picnic: Scarlett needs helpers on Wednesday

We're short of hands for the Refugee Welcome Picnic; can you spare a morning?

Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 296 neighbors in Allentown. I help organize it with 9 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for set-up, serving, translation and clean-up. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. Thanks for being kind about this.

This is what community support looks like. They didn't just offer generic advice; they provided personalized help tailored to my specific situation.
