Join the Refugee Welcome Picnic: James needs helpers on Monday
We are short of hands for the Refugee Welcome Picnic; can you spare a morning?
๐จ๐ฆ Hamilton, Ontario, Canada457 views
Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 200 neighbors in Hamilton. I help organize it with 11 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

You're not alone. Hope you get there. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings
