Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 460 neighbors in Columbus. I help organize it with 11 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for set-up, serving, translation and clean-up. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. Glad we found this place.

This could happen to any of us. Greetings from Tokyo.

    • Sending love. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Gazipur so I could bring a meal.

      • Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. After 26 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.

        • Best of luck, Eli. Hope this works out for you. Wish I lived closer to Mangaluru so I could bring a meal. Blessings

          • Great idea, hope you get there. My husband and I read this together. Blessings.
